Yo, fellow gamers! Ready to channel your inner Franklin or Lamar and hold down the fort in GTA Online’s Double Down Adversary Mode? It’s like a high-stakes game of hide-and-seek, but with shotguns, snipers, and a ticking clock. Let’s dive in and break it down.
Double Down is a co-op Adversary Mode where you pick sides:
Hold Outs: You and a buddy (or Franklin and Lamar, if you’re lucky) defend a spot for 4 minutes. You’ve got one life each, so no respawns. But you’re armed to the teeth with MKII weapons.
Attackers: You and your squad (up to 10 players) have unlimited lives, but you’re stuck with double-barrel shotguns and 60 shells. Your mission? Wipe out the Hold Outs before time runs out.
There are seven maps to choose from:
Paleto Forest Sawmill
Freight Train
Altruist Camp
Los Santos Naval Port
Pala Springs Aerial Tramway
Fort Zancudo
Cape Catfish
Each map offers unique challenges and opportunities for both teams. Whether you’re on a moving train or a rooftop, strategy is key.
Winning a match can net you around $18,000, but here’s the kicker: from May 8 to 14, 2025, there’s a 3x GTA$ and RP bonus. That means you could rake in over $50K per match if you play your cards right.
Hold Outs: Find high ground and use your sniper rifle to pick off attackers from a distance. Remember, you’ve got powerful weapons, but only one life—use it wisely.
Attackers: Stick together and coordinate your attacks. The double-barrel shotgun is powerful up close, but you’ll need to get in close to use it effectively.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Whether you’re defending or attacking, communication is crucial. Use voice chat or quick messages to strategize with your team.
Open the Pause Menu.

Double Down is a thrilling test of strategy, skill, and teamwork. Whether you’re holding the line as Franklin or Lamar or leading the charge as an attacker, every match is a heart-pounding experience. So, gather your crew, pick your side, and let’s see if you can survive the siege.
